Some societies and conference organizers currently provide child care or travel support for their meetings while others do not. This page summarizes what the UMass STEM FTI has discovered.

American Astronomical Society
Provides grants up to $250 to help pay for childcare at their national meeting. Click here for the grant application. The AAS sometimes offers onsite childcare during their meeting. Childcare is provided by KiddieCorp. Click here for information about KiddieCorp and the childcare application. American Chemical Society
Offers professional on-site childcare at it's bi-annual national meetings. The childcare is provided by Accent on Children's Arrangements and is available from 8am-6pm on conference days. This service is provided free of charge for all registered ACS meeting attendees. Click here for the ACS on-site childcare application.
American Geophysical Union
Offers on-site childcare to attendees during the fall meeting. Childcare is provided by the national firm, KiddieCorp. Click here for details about the childcare AGU offers. Click here for information about KiddieCorp and the childcare application.
American Mathematical Society and Mathematical Association of America
Offers childcare support to registrants at the annual Joint Mathematics Meetings. They make this program available and affordable by subsidizing this service and paying for most of the cost. American Physical Society
Currently offers small childcare grants to parents attending their meetings. These meetings include the March Meeting, the April Meeting, PAC and APS-DPP. APS also offers a quiet room, and a bulletin board for parents to contact each other. Click here to link to the APS childcare resources. For more information contact email@example.com.
American Society for Cell Biology
The ASCB Women in Cell Biology (WICB) Committee offers grant support to help offset the cost of childcare. These grants enable scientists with dependent children to attend the annual meeting. Click here for more information regarding these grants and the application form.
Association of American Geographers
Provides limited reimbursement to registered conference attendees to subsidize part of your child care expenses. The maximum subsidy is $400 per family. Materials Research Society

Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM)
Currently offers childcare grants up to $250 to help attendees pay for child care during the Annual Meeting. Click here for more information about the grants and to access the application form.
Society for Neuroscience
Offers on-site childcare for children ages 6 months to 12 years through the national firm, KiddieCorp. Click here for more information about KiddieCorp and the SFN childcare application.
NIH Child Care Policy
If you seek NIH support for a conference you are organizing, NIH policy dictates that you "include information about child care in your conference plan". Conference Grants (R13)
